Apple debuts new App Store section promoting Retina-ready iPad apps

“To coincide with today’s third-generation iPad launch, Apple has launched a new section on the App Store promoting titles equipped for the tablet’s Retina display,” MacNN reports.
“The new iPad has a 2048×1536 screen, double the resolution of that on the iPad 2. While 1024×768 apps are automatically upscaled, any static images will still appear pixellated unless the developers have updated their apps with better graphics,” MacNN reports. “Because of work time and Apple approval backlogs, it could potentially take weeks or months for most apps to become Retina-ready.”
